This tester is designed to measure blocking points of several types of paraffin wax concurrently. The operating principle is as follows. Specimens are prepared so that their surface contacts paraffin-coated surfaces. These specimens are mounted on the tester's aluminum blocking plate that is provided with thermal gradients, and then a rubber plate is placed on it, and the an iron rod is set for retention. The lowest temperature at which the area of
surface film adhesion has reached 50% is read and determined as the blocking point. This tester's blocking plate is provided with embedded temperature sensors at 10 locations for temperature control in order to achieve linear temperature distribution, which temperatures are recorded by the tester.
